Like whole bananas, banana chips contain many essential nutrients such as iron, phosphorus and potassium, but in smaller quantities. They are sweetened, therefore have a higher calorie content than the fresh fruit. However moderately added to cereals and bakes, they being a lovely sweetness that is pleasant to eat.
Dried strawberries have an intense berry flavour. The fruit is naturally sweet and the crystallisation adds to their sweetness and they are pleasantly chewy to eat. They are a rich source of fibre, potassium and anti-oxidants. However the sugar does make them calorific, so enjoy in moderation on cereal and granola and use them to add sweetness to your bakes.
